Privacy Policy

• Quill never reads your inbox and never sends an email for you. You copy or share every reply yourself.
• Quill only sees what you type, paste, say, upload or share into it.
• We don't sell your information, show ads or use it to train AI models.
• You can see, change or delete what Quill knows at any time, and delete your whole account in Settings.

• Your account: your email address, name and how you sign in (email and password, Google or Apple).
• Your profiles: Personal, Student and Business / Work profiles you create, with their names, websites and signatures.
• What Quill learns: the facts, writing-style notes, rules and FAQ answers you teach it or approve, so it can write like you.
• Your Teach conversation and drafts: your messages to Quill, the emails you paste in, and the replies Quill writes, so you can pick up where you left off.
• Your reminders: the reminders and dates you choose to save (title, time, and any note or place), so every Quill device can show them and your phone can remind you. Quill only suggests dates; nothing is saved or added to a calendar until you tap.
• Your settings: things like your preferred voice, reading pace and whether Quill learns from your emails.

• Files you upload to teach Quill (PDFs, photos, Word, Excel, text): read once, then thrown away. Only the file name stays in your conversation, along with any details you choose to keep.
• Screenshots of emails: read once to copy the email text, then thrown away.
• Your voice: recordings are turned into text and then thrown away. Read-aloud audio isn't stored either.
• Web pages: the browser extension never reads pages in the background. It only reads an open email when you click “Use the open email”.

Only to run Quill for you: to remember what you taught it, write and explain emails, turn speech into text, read replies aloud, and keep your account in sync across your devices. We may also use it to keep Quill secure and to fix problems.

A few trusted service providers process information on our behalf, only to provide Quill:

• Hosting and database — stores your account and saved information.
• AI providers — receive the text, files or audio needed to answer each request, and send the result back.
• Website reading — when you paste a website link, its public pages are fetched so Quill can learn from them.
• Google and Apple — only if you choose to sign in with them.

We don't share your information with anyone else unless the law requires it.

• Turn off “Learn from my emails” in Settings at any time. Every lesson Quill saves shows an Undo button.
• Edit or delete any saved detail from Settings.
• Use “Delete all Quill data” to erase what Quill knows, or “Delete account” to remove your account and everything in it. Deletion is permanent.
• The microphone is used only when you tap it.
• Phone notifications are used only for reminders you set. “Add to calendar” opens your own calendar app pre-filled; Quill never reads your calendar.
• The Windows app reads your clipboard only when you press its shortcut (Alt + Q) or choose “Reply to the email I copied”.

Your information travels over encrypted connections, and every account can only read its own data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will tell you if something goes wrong that affects it.

Quill is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we'll delete the account.

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page, and tell you in Quill if the change is important.
